Metal Spinning is the process of flow forming metal over a forming tool at high speed. This produces a rotationally symmetrical part which is hollow and can be seen in everyday use.

Simple examples of metal spun parts are light fittings, cookware and wheel rims.

Complicated spun components would be rotor housings for turbines or exhaust systems on aircraft, spinnings used in nuclear power installations or satellites.
